Credit Access
inclusive & fair credit.
Unlocking equal access to opportunities and resources for the marginalized.
Our Purpose
Why We're Here
Why are we here? To unlock and provide equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, which is, on its own, a great initiative that empowers society.
What better way to extend credit to those who need it? Removing blocks, stigmas and flags, and further ensuring the credit granted is fair, as espoused in the National Credit Act, is of paramount importance to us.
Our Story
One Saturday morning in Sandton in 2007, one customer shed tears uncontrollably seated in front of me when her credit application was declined. It was one last gap measure to save the car from the repo guy who had just located her in the Sandton parking basement where her daughter sat unaware of the repo guy about to repossess her mom’s car.
The loan had just been declined and at the same time the repo man was parked behind her car to ensure no escape and her daughter sat unaware and unknowingly that her mom had gone to get a loan to secure the car and drive back to the east of Joburg.
Women travel with lots of luggage in the boot and I pondered to myself where would all these go upon the car being repossessed?
Four taxis to connect home from Sandton to Vosloorus with this luggage. This is one too many of what many people in our societies confront. Something had to crack and sound right, and my savings saved the day and it was then the birth of Credit Access.

Credit Approvals
You need a good score and affordability to access any form of credit from a bank or other lender.
What is a good score?
This is determined by the lender in terms of their credit policy, which clients they need on their loan books and what is their growth plan in terms of the loan book. A good score for a huge loan nowadays would be 640 plus
What is affordabilty?
This is disposable income -when all your living expenses and monthly bills are added all together, the amount left will be to accommodate the new loan.
